Meredith Shanks has worked in the marketing communications industry since 2012, after graduating from Baylor University. She started her professional career in the non-profit sector as a Media Relations Associate for Operation Christmas Child. In this role,  she served as the public relations coordinator for the Texas-Louisiana region, creating and customizing press releases, developing media lists and pitching to the media. During that time, she increased media attention more than 10% in the region.

In 2013, she started working for Triumph Bancorp, Inc. and its subsidiaries as the Social Media Coordinator. She was promoted to Marketing Specialist for her work in various aspects of marketing and communication. She developed content for internal and external marketing communications including social media content, blog posts, press releases, websites, emails and newsletters. After two years, she went to work solely for Triumph’s subsidiary, Triumph Business Capital, a company focused on factoring services primarily for the transportation industry. She continued to create content for external and internal marketing, including social media, corporate blogs, marketing website, emails and internal newsletters and managed multiple social media profiles, including the development of social media calendars, training for employees, reporting and analytics. In 2015, she increased engaged users by over 3,000% on Facebook. 

In 2016, Meredith began working for Texas Christian University (TCU) as the Marketing and Communications Coordinator. While at TCU, she developed a strategic marketing and communications plan for the College of Fine Arts, created content for various college initiatives, such as the Fine Arts Newsletter and fundraising materials, developed a social media policy and created social media accounts for the college and coordinated with the website team to redesign all the College of Fine Arts websites under university web standards.

Currently, Meredith helps local businesses and non-profits with their marketing and communications efforts in advertising, social media, public relations, blog writing and website management. She continues to grow social media communities for these brands and increase their reach in the community, including increasing a Facebook user base by 100 followers in less than six months.
