Increase Your Engagement Through Social Media

Great social media starts with a solid strategy. People don’t want to engage or follow companies or brands who push content. They want to interact with a company that is intentional about building a community. When I am starting the process of a social media strategy and plan, I research the past content posted and it’s success, research competitors who are performing better, and find out what the goals of the company are. I will take your company goals and apply a social media goal to it, and then identify your tactics. This approach is strategic as opposed to throwing spaghetti on a wall to see what sticks.

Every month, I will send you a social media report with top posts, number of followers, engagement rate, and other similar ranking mechanisms. I will also include a summary of the focus for the following month to continue to grow.

I have more than six years of experience in social media content creation, strategy, and management. In my career, I have managed social media pages for seven companies that span multiple industries from trucking to banking to higher education and non-profit.

I know I can help increase your social media presence among your consumer base and attract potential new consumers.

Past Results in Social Media

At Triumph Business Capital, I boosted the trucking specific Facebook page from 50 likes to over 6,000 likes. In 2015, I increased engaged users on Facebook by over 3,000%. During my time at Triumph Bancorp, Inc. and subsidiaries, I started their Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube pages and wrote the content calendars for the holding company and Triumph’s subsidiaries.

While at Texas Christian University, I created Facebook and Twitter accounts for the College of Fine Arts, created a social media policy, and developed content that fulfilled the goals of the college. In my most recent role, I have generated content for a non-profit, where I create calendars for five of their Facebook pages, three Instagram accounts, and three Twitter accounts that have unique audiences. During this time, I have increased their Facebook followers by over 100 in six months.

Facebook Video

The church I manage social media for wanted our Facebook followers to come to the Christmas production at the church. I filmed and edited a promotional video for Facebook to gain interest. The video had over 5,000 views and 105 shares.

Feed My Starving Children

When Hurricane Harvey hit Houston and the gulf coast, First Baptist Carrollton wanted to engage its community to help with the relief efforts. This video received over 1,000 views, and in turn, people donated financially and went down to the coast to help with those efforts.

TCU Fine Arts

While at Texas Christian University, one of my goals was to promote our faculty as thought leaders. Two of our faculty members in the School of Music attracted media attention, and we were able to share that on our social media pages to create more buzz.

Trucker Highlight

While working at Triumph Business Capital, I wanted to create a community on our trucking Facebook page. I had the idea of creating a video series called, Truckers of the Road. During a trucking convention, my video team filmed various subjects, and the finished product created a great amount of engagement. This video received 8,000 views.
